Halfway to green shopping

The Gulf Today photo journalist Kamal Kassim has won recognition for the best picture of the 14th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF.The first prize for the best DSF photography in the shopping category was presented to Kamal Kassim by Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday evening at a glittering award ceremo
ny held at Dubai Festival City.
Kamal Kassim has been working with The Gulf Today for the past four years. He has been in the Gulf's mainstream journalism for the past 16 years and had worked with newspapers in the Middle East and India, including Gulf Times, Arraya Arabic daily, QNA- Qatar News Agency and publications in India.He has won several awards and accolades, including World Handball Federation, Qatar National Photographic Association, Pepsi International Gold Medal, Nehru Memorial Award and Sharjah Tourism Department.Kamal Kassim has also conducted many photography exhibitions on different themes such as tsunami, water resource conservation and other issues.
